A mobile hotspot acts as a wireless access point and creates a WiFi network that can connect to any Wifi compatible device. This service is usually provided by cell phone companies as a small device.
All mobile hotspots will have a different interface based on carrier and when it was manufactured. In this page, we will be using the latest MiFi hotspot from Verizon. This device has an on-off button, SIM card slot, and a charging port.
The hotspot interface will show all the information needed, including:
Connecting to the Mobile Hotspot Wifi network is just the same as any WiFi network! When the Mobile Hotspot is on, and the WiFi network is enabled, you will see the WiFi name show up when looking at the list of nearby WiFi networks the device can connect to. Click connect, enter the password on the hotspot, and it's connected!
Navigate to and click on the WiFi icon in the bottom right on the taskbar, near the time and date.
